IT Director
In big business, this role would be called “Chief Technology Officer”. But you aren’t a big business, and certainly don’t want to pay big business per diems to get the kind of results you need. We believe a successful technology advisor brings both “hard” and “soft” skills to the table. The ability to listen carefully, because decisions cannot be made without input and understanding; and the ability to be pragmatic, because not everyone will speak the language of technology. At this level, an IT Director must be innovative, able to bring new ideas forward to solve old problems, and they must have excellent judgment, based on both broad and deep domain experience. In the end, the result must be the most appropriate solution for the business, whether the goal is increased revenue, reduced costs, expansion into new markets, consolidation of systems, quicker speed to market or simply a more resilient infrastructure.
