Procurement Support
This service will initially focus on helping small businesses win government tenders in the UK on projects valued up to approximately £140,000.00. If you're familiar with this process, you'll already know about the compete4 and supply2.gov sites; you may even have tried your hand at responding to a PQQ or two. So you'll know it isn't as easy as you'd think - and it takes up a significant amount of time and co-ordination. And even then, it's hard to make the cut. If you're not familiar with the government procurement process, well, let's just say it's not any of the following: straightforward, replicable, effortless. On the contrary.
So here's our proposition. There are two levels of service to consider: Shared Service and Full Service
Shared Service
If you have the resources to apply to tendering for government projects, it may make sense for you to provide training to your staff, so your folks can improve their skills, develop an effective and efficient process, build the collateral and undertake the tenders internally, themselves. To this end we will conduct 4 half day workshops with up to 6 members of your company. Pre-work and assignments will cover the process step by step, so that by the end of the training you have a number of the key documents necessary for future tenders, set out in a professional style, that you can use going forward. You will also have a documented process for monitoring and responding to opportunities, which your staff can be expected to fully implement. A fifth, optional workshop is offered for those who have identified a specific opportunity, completed all the materials but would appreciate the benefit of "a second pair of eyes" reviewing the submission.
What's included/excluded
Workshop materials, downloaded guides, detailed training and instruction, follow up with employees, telephone support for homework assistance, sample policies and procedures, and editing assistance are all included. Implementation of policies and procedures and monitoring of sites by Back Office Front Office, are excluded.
Price: £125.00 per employee per 1/2 day, minimum 4 employees per session for 4 workshop sessions. 5th session optional: £125.00 per employee. VAT not included. Terms and conditions apply.
Full Service
If you are not already registered, we will register you on the government procurement sites, and monitor and identify opportunities we feel would be of interest to you. This will be accomplished by two activities: a "know your customer" briefing by a senior member of staff in order to get to know you, understand your business and what you want to achieve; and development of a "fit" assessment, which will identify, among other things, your key competencies, track record that can be brought to bear, resource skills and product/services.
We will submit 10 Opportunity Responses as they're called, compiling and editing the required content you provide, and managing it into a professional and impactful presentation that shows you at your best. We also will work with you through the remaining stages of the tendering process, for any or all of the 10 Opportunity Responses that progress to the short list and final submission.
What's included/excluded
Collection of data, monitoring the tender sites, identification of and discussion regarding opportunity selection, editing the Supplier Statement (description of your business), providing and customising policy templates are included. Training; promulgation and implementation of policies; certification as to quality, regulatory or other standards; insurance, or any guarantees are excluded. Back Office Front Office will not be responsible for the accuracy of any material provided by you.
Price: £3675.00 + 2.5% commission based on the gross value of the tender, for any projects won. Terms and conditions apply. VAT not included.
